Scott Raney is a Managing Director at Redpoint Ventures, where he partners with founders building leading technology companies. Over more than 25 years in venture capital, he has worked closely with entrepreneurs to scale businesses and navigate growth. He is passionate about innovation and the impact of technology, and his work has been recognized multiple times on the Forbes Midas List.
Scott is a graduate of Duke University, where he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Woodside, California, and Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, with his wife, Meredith. Their daughter, Claire, graduated from Duke University, and their son, Campbell, is currently a student there.
Elected to the Duke University Board of Trustees in 2026, Scott serves on the External Engagement Committee.
