The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of Duke University. As the university’s fiduciary, the board is responsible for Duke’s long term health, overseeing and aligning its strategic direction, educational policy, finances and operations with the mission of the university. Through its two affiliated boards, it oversees the Duke University Health System and DUMAC, Inc., the university’s investment company.

Young Trustee Information Session

The Young Trustee Information Session will be held on Thursday, December 2, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. ET, in the Holsti-Anderson Family Assembly Room (Rm. 153, 1st Floor) in Rubenstein Library

At the session on December 2, the role and expectations of Young Trustees and the specific skills, knowledge and experience that make a good trustee will be discussed. In addition, the selection process and timeline will be reviewed, and current Young Trustees will speak about their service on the Board of Trustees.
