The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the governing body of Duke University. As the university’s fiduciary, the board is responsible for Duke’s long term health, overseeing and aligning its strategic direction, educational policy, finances and operations with the mission of the university. Through its two affiliated boards, it oversees the Duke University Health System and DUMAC, Inc., the university’s investment company.  

This website is intended to provide information about the Board of Trustees to members of the Duke University community.

UNDERGRADUATES - To apply for the position of Young Trustee, please complete the Young Trustee application by 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. (The application is in Qualtrics. We encourage you to write out your answers in a Word or Google doc and then copy and paste them into Qualtrics.) Please note that semifinalist interviews will likely take place the weeks of January 31 and February 7.
